This is a similar problem I have seen others having BUT...
I created these vids in Vegas Video 3.0a using the Divx 5.02 Video codec and Mpeg-3 audio. Now though when I import them back into VV, I get audio, but just black screens for the video. I know, I know, VV doesn't officially support Divx, however, isn't this completely odd that I rendered these vids no problem with VV into the 5.02 Divx and also was able to view them a few times in VV but eventually it just stopped showing the video track. I have reinstalled the 5.02 codec several times, redownloaded it, and also found that it is viewable in Adobe Premiere 6.0, and Media Player plays it fine, thus the codec works, just not in Vegas Video anymore.
Anyone know of a Divx 5.02 converter that doesn't lose much quality? I want to use VV as my editor now, but I want to still be able to use these vids in VV, which I cannot at the moment.
Also I'm using Windows XP Professional if that helps.
