Capture in vidcap>Try to use the resulting avi file on Mac in differnt apps (AE or FCP) and the AVI wont load.

Is vidcap using a certian codec? Because the manuals of those apps say AVI should work, however...on other forums, folks say AVI with "certian" codecs will cause trouble.

Id rather not convert a couple hundred gigs of avi to QT just to do some multitask FX rendering between machones
