The first reply you got doesn't seem to apply to you, since it's an upgrade price for folks who already have a Sonic Foundry video product.

Try Leigh's... he's usually got some of the most attractive prices around, and good service. (I have no relationship with him except that I'm a happy customer.)

Vegas 3.0 seems to be listed on his website for $469, but the listing is kind of confusing... if you click on it, something different comes up instead. I'd recommend telephoning Leigh to get the straight info; he's usually available by phone, & easy to work with. Phone number is 610-789-9897

just go to a search engine "yahoo" "google" and type in "vegas video 3"
you'll get a million places that sell it
remember, there is no manual with vv3
just a download manual "pdf"
so it doen't matter who or where you buy it from - just as long as you buy it
this product rocks !!

If you're a student or educational institution faculty member or administrator, check out the prices at some of the web outlets selling student software. Ed-tech, for example, retails VV3 for about $150. You will need to e-mail them student ID, etc., to prove educational association.
