Hiyah T!

Do you fade in and fade out with your video clips - yes? Well you can do the same with a text clip or generated media. Like your video clip/s at each end of the clip - say the right hand end, just get your cursor to that top right hand corner and you'll see a tiny trinagle thingy - yeah? This is a fade option. Hold down the right or left button - can't remember which at the moment - on mouse an "pull" the now appearing cursor left. This will give you a fade out of that text. Likewise at the other end - the begining - you can do the same. Hope my explanation hasn't confused you too much, apologies if it has.

Better still if you set up a particular text event and give it's own track then track motion and pan/crops and all the other stuff you can have to play with. I do lots of text stuff - yeah yeah, I do talk a lot don't I! - and once I got my head around this, I was flying - WHat am I thinking of!!! Have you got Edward's downloadable Monthly Newsletters? If you haven't done so already I'd really recommend the downloadable V4 Manual. It's big - 315pages, it's in full colour and . . . IT'S FREE!

...and it pretty much answers a lot of initial questions on stuff. I've read through it a good 3 or 4 times....each time focusing in on a particular subject. Great stuff.

OR just pop in your Vegas 4 program CD, the manual is on there as well.
