Just curious if anyone else had installed the vv 3 release candidate on Windows XP? I'm getting spotty results. The trimmer is awkward, taking 10 seconds or so to start playing after hitting the button, and often only playing a second or two before stopping. Some effect filters cause errors around the screen, like erasing my taskbar or menu buttons. Everything seems to reset after closing the app and restarting, but I'm constantly worried my work will be lost, or the save file corrupted.

I'm sure SF is aware of this (?) and has some XP users in the beta test. Just curious what others are experiencing.

Overall, I'm giddy over the new features. Even the tweaks to the keyboard shortcuts are great, and I'm already frustrated using 2.0. The light rays and film visual effects are stunning. The smooth envelopes are a godsend. The new text editor allows multiple fonts, and the credits scroll is perfect.

Fun -- just squash these bugs, okay? :-)
