VV3 or Sonar 2 for audio ?

Hi everyone,
I'm recording a trio live tomorrow night on my PC ( 4-5 tracks) and also shooting video with my brand spanking new Sony PD150 that should be here at around 3 pm via UPS : )
In the past I've always used Sonar 2 when recording in my studio and live gigs (at 44,100/24 bit). However I've read that VV3 is just as good but I can't find anywhere in help or the manual where I toggle it to 24 bit, any suggestions? Also I plan to take the audio and cue up with the video in post, any advice here would also be very much appreciated.
TIA,
Randy

Start a NEW project, and hit Alt+Enter for the Project prop's, select the AUDIO tab and enter your settings.....click apply and then do a "SAVE AS" for your project.
Stick to one sample rate for the recording project.
VV3 does not support ASIO, so before you even open VV.....set up your sound card drivers to MME/WDM.

Don't forget to practice before the record session :-)

Since the gig is tomorrow, I'd advise using the app you are already familiar with for recording. Vegas is certainly capable of doing what you want, but there is a learning curve (as with anything), so you might not want to switch apps this close to the shoot.

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I was looking for. So as far as cueing up later I'm thinking I should leave Sonar and the camera running throughout the concert (unless there's an intermission) right?
