VV3, SoftEncode, ReelDVD vs. VV4+DVD

Hi guys,
I've read the products review, specs, features, etc... but I also want "hands-on" and "field" opinions. As it says in the title, I currently own and use VV3 for editing and rendering, SoftEncode to encode AC3 files and ReelDVD to author the final DVD. Based on numerous features and enhancemnts plus many posts I've read, one can safely assume that VV3 to VV4 is no brainer, must have upgrade. Correct? The question is, upgrade to VV4 or VV4+DVD? How's authoring features of VV4+DVD? Buttons creation, layout, commands and chapters, limitations, hickups and what else anyone think of +DVD part of VV4? Can DVDA accept Photoshop files for still menus? How does it creates and handels different highlight colors for different button states? Do you have to create multiple layers for each button state (like for Impression DVD)? Can you have "video buttons"? The ones, that once selected start playing PiP-like video. Can it make "hidden" buttons? The ones that you can put on the menu, make it transparent, then take it out of "up,down, right, left" sequince making it "hidden" and only selectable by number on the remote? Can it output just video files (TS_VIDEO and TS_AUDIO) for using different recording software? Can it output DVD image?
The second questin is, if both SoftEncode 1 and Surround plugin both DolbyDigital certified, they should produce pretty much the same quality files with same number of options enoder. Does it? Is new plug-in AC3 encoder any better than Soft Encode?
And last but not least, is Noise Reduction 2 compatible with VV4?
I appreciate in andvance all to take their time to read/reply to this post.

WOW, That's a lot of questions in one paragraph. Generally speaking, DVDA does NOT have the power of ReelDVD.

The authoring features are pretty good. You can have motion buttons and backgrounds, chapter points are available, you can specify an in and out point for each button. However, you do not have full control over button navigation, menu navigation, clip navigation, or how buttons appear (such as your "hidden" example).

Can DVDA accept Photoshop files for still menus? Yes it can.

How does it creates and handels different highlight colors for different button states? Do you have to create multiple layers for each button state (like for Impression DVD)? The highlighting is the same for all buttons on a menu. There are some adjustments available such as color and transparency level.

Can you have "video buttons"? The ones, that once selected start playing PiP-like video. Yes

Can it make "hidden" buttons? The ones that you can put on the menu, make it transparent, then take it out of "up,down, right, left" sequince making it "hidden" and only selectable by number on the remote? Not that I am aware of. It might be possible using a custom frame.

Can it output just video files (TS_VIDEO and TS_AUDIO) for using different recording software? Yes

Can it output DVD image? I'm not sure. I always use the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders.
