VV3 working directory structure

I have two removeabe drives (capture and render) and a system drive. Sadly for me, I filled up the capture drive with media from a 3-camera shoot of a long wedding. It appears I will be forced to capture the wedding reception to the render drive.

Capture is d:\ and render is e:\ and the question I have is will VV3 allow me to work with the project and eventually render it when part of the captured clips have one path and the other part, a completely different path? Both drives are in the system at the same time, but will VV3 be able to see both of them? I could experiment, but don't want to risk crippling this project. Over a week of work in it so far. Thanks for any insight.

Yes, you can have different folders, partitions, drives with different pathes for your capture stuff without any need to worry about it.

I have clips on three different drives and two different machines on the network, all in one project. VV uses them where ever it finds them. Some times I change a drive letter or machine and I just point VV to the new directory and it finds all of the files there without me having to tell it about each file.

Thanks. Yeah, I've got clips all over the place for this latest project. Glad to know VV3 doesn't mind.
