Hi! I think some people might have noticed the problem berfore, but I couldn't find a posting...
With vv4.0c, when importing two 16bit/44.1k CD rips on the timeline and aligning them one after the other with a pause of 0-1 second, and then I start playback at the end of the first clip, I can hear a dropout approx 0,3 seconds after the beginning of the second track. There are no FX's etc and only 1 bus.
Soundcard as a RME Digi96 with latest drivers. In ASIO mode it can be heard, but in legacy Windows Driver Mode it is really annoying. It also happens with other soundcards (eg C-Media 8738 with the M-Audio drivers).
This phenomenon doesn't happen with VV4.0b. So I think it is a bug in the playout engine of VV4.0c.
I also noticed significant distortion when I switch to 96k in the properties->audio dialog when using the RME. This also happens with VV4.0b. When switching to 88.2k, I even get a total system lockup with W2k, AMD processor, and VIA KT133A chipset. Very strange...
