VV4.0d Can't Handle Unicode File Names

I'm working with VV4.0d on a Windows XP Pro system. I have a few media (AVI and MP3) files whose file names are in unicode. When i tried to drag and drop them into a VV4.0d project, it choked on those. Is this a known problem?

Thanks for writing.
The same response does apply to Vegas 4.0 as well.
Unfortunately at this time we do not have a release
date for future versions of the products.

When can i expect the "future" version that will
support foreign language fonts correctly?

I also had a similar report submitted against
Vegas Video, can i take that you'll have a similar
response?

Hello,

Thanks for writing.

There are numerous problems with foreign language
fonts which use unicode in DVD Architect. This will
be corrected in a future version of the product, as
most of our products going forward will be written
in unicode.
