i know the hoopla and complianing has died down...but I had to mention I just spend over 10 hours duplicateing and doing repetitve tasks in a couple dozen projects- which could have been a few mose clicks with a IMPORT TRACK feature...the import veg was a OK start with huge limitations

Using V6? Why not use nested Vegs?

For every situation where I used to wish for the ability to copy tracks from one Veg to another... the nested Veg feature of V6 now covers that need.

EDIT... I see you mentioned Import Veg... so why doesn't that work for you? Please explain.

Im talking about shuttling lage amounts of audio tracks around...either way video or audio- its just not versatile....or on par with other pro apps that offer other options- like simply importing the data I want

open up two instances of Vegas & copy/paste between them.

works great when I want to copy whole sections from veg A to B.

Doesn't work for copying complete tracks (where you may have a lot of track motion keyframes), Track FX's etc etc.

Not to take away from my original reply. For my uses... nested Vegs have worked for me in this regard.
