They told me it was goingto ship on Friday. When I called today they said some shipped and some may not ship for another couple of days.

This kind of ticks me off. If they had told us shippingwould be SOMETIME this week I would have made arrangements.

As it is I'm having it shipped towork and with holiday schedules and SF delay, I may not receive until after Christmas.

Bummer

I sent an email to customer service a couple weeks ago and got my mail order canceled and turned into a download order. I got the content disc last week. From what I can tell I didn't miss out on anything special by downloading. It took around 10 minutes to download.

After you download the program and install it you CAN burn a copy of it to a cd as data:ie a hard copy and just have the content cd mailed to you. Nothing of any relevance really in the content cd. Some cool avi's,music, sound effects. But nothing that couldn't wait 'till after the new year to get. I wish they added the tutorials to the cd though...still haven't downloaded it yet. Later.

This is too funny, had to share. Still didn't get my upgrade and I ordered back on 11/21. Called again to ask why, hoping it didn't get lost in the Christmas rush.

Answer: According to Customer Service they're shipping based on the their alphabetical list of customers. First priority were those upgrading from previous version of VV, those upgrading from Video Factory, were next. My name starts with a "S" so just getting to me today. ROTFLMAO!

well, if you would have looked, It said that the upgrade was not shipping till 12/15/01. It wasnt ready yet. Ordering it before that doesnt make a difference since it would not ship out until on or after this date. I have recieved mine, I upgraded from VV2 to VV3. PLUS, I live an hour away from SF's headquarters in WI. I am assuming thats why I got mine fairly quick (based off of the 12/15/01 date). Hang in there guys, its worth the wait for the software.

Brian

PS(there arent that many extras in the "packaged" version; there is no box, but big whoop)

Makes me glad i went with the download. I ordered mine yesterday and
had the license installed 3 minutes later. 'Course, i had already downloaded
it the week before in preparation. ;)

Looks like i did miss out on a cool keyboard template thingie though. I
wonder if those can be ordered after the fact at the SF store? Hmmmm.

"well, if you would have looked, It said that the upgrade was not shipping till 12/15/01. It wasnt ready yet"

If you would have actually read what I said, you would have perhaps grasped the lunacy of Sonic Foundry's selected shipped priority. Shipping to customers alphabetically? Why not shoe size then or by hair color?

Since I live in Illinois and ordered the day after it was available I should have been one of the first to receive it. Instead people with names A-R regardless of when they ordered got serviced first.

Please explain the logic to me... anyone.
