Hi Folks
So I imported a cut of a short I edited on Final Cut. I want to finish it using Vegas' wonderful real-time tools but I still "can't live without" Final Cut's wonderful cuts-only editing workflow.
So now I have my timeline in Vegas. It's all on one track. I want to use velocity envelopes to tweak the pacing of certain bits of the edit. But when I use a velocity envelope the event length remains constant at the expense of the media out point.
I understand that this is by design. I don't understand why it's useful that way but I'll assume that it is a Good Thing for some situations. However, it is a Very Bad Thing for me. How do I get around it? How do I do in Vegas what I can easily do in Final Cut - though in Final Cut I'd have to wait for it to render and the UI for changing speed in Final Cut pales in comparison to Velocity Envelopes in Vegas.
