This is just a warning to all users of Vegas/DVD Architect.
It seems that with the latest update (8.1), a new bug has been introduced, where importing a Greyscale Photoshop image into either program results in a black screen appearing. Converting the file to RGB solves the problem.
Sadly, I have a DVD that's come back from replication which has been affected by the bug. It was originally authored with older versions (8.0 of Vegas and 4.5 of DVDA, respectively) and had no problems. The reauthored version features black frames in the Image Gallery thanks to this bug, and me failing to scrutinise the output.
Just thought I'd post this so nobody falls into the same trap.
