I've taken a home dvd, renamed the to mpeg and imported portions of it to vegas. My project setting is 1280x720 and saved as .wmv high settings and I've notice all of the video I've imported becomes very washed out...much more than the original when both are played on windows media player.

Is this usual and if not, could it be a function of my project settings. I've applied filers to help it out but it doesn't have that same crisp look.
