WAV audio freaks out

what happened to Vegas audio? I used to drop whatever audio file in and have zero issues. Now, it choks on some WAVs and turns them to static or random patchy sqwaks. I've seen others here had it.

I have to jump out, open a sound editor, and resave the film as a new wav or mp3 to fix. didn't used to have to do that sort of thing

Where did the problem files originate from?

Post Mediainfo.. or better yet, post the file somewhere (like Droobox).
