waveform doesnt display when recording

Suddenly my waveforms aren't being displayed while I'm recording tracks. All I have is a blank flatline while my cursor moves across the time line. When I hit stop and click done, I get "building peaks" and there it is. I can't figure out what I did to change this, nor can I figure out how to restore it the way it was. Any thoughts?

Goto "OPTIONS>PREFERENCES"..."Audio TAB". In the Drop down box for "Waveform display while recording", make sure it is set to "show all waveforms". You probably have it set to "Don't show waveforms".

Red, incidently - you were correct. Some how I musta changed it to "display a single track". Thanks

Waveform display update seems also to be dependant on CPU load, and where you have the mouse pointer(!) (VV3).
