waves plugs/vst/ audio stutter/dual processor

So, would moving to a new PC with some sort of dual processors help alleviate this issue: when several waves plugins are running (in a film project where I might have, oh, say 12 tracks of audio plus the AVI video file running), when scrolling around the screen, the audio stutters like mad. If I stop touching the scrolling, it clears up for the most part. Bypassing ALL FX clears it up also. But, when I need to playback the entire project, either as tracks or as a rendered file, sometimes I still get stutters or smal clicks and pops. The question: would dual core help? woule more ram help>

Something to try:

In your Audio Device Preferences page, uncheck the

"Enable track buffering"

option.

In most cases this has solved the problem with the Waves plugins.

Let us know if this solves the problem for you.
