WIth the new version of Wax, FreeFrame Video plugins are now supported. This is great because there are several hundred FreeFrame plugins floating around. But start out with the original FreeFrame innovater's plugs:

P.S. - Shortly after developing his plugins, Pete was quickly aqcuired by Apple to work on Motion and Core Video.

Ok, I know how to update Wax, but where do I put these Freeframe DLLs?

Just unpack zipped freeframe fx to any desired folder and add this folder into the Wax preferences of 3th party plugins (same way it works for VD plugs).

Is it just me or does the wax filter degrade the quality of your footage? I wish I could post some samples of what happened, but I don't know how.
