Wax and Platinum 6.0

I have been playing with Satish's plugins in Platinum 6.0. The PluginPac 3D LE works great and is fast. I have tried the latest version of Wax downloaded three days ago and it seems to work fine as a transition plugin or standalone, however when I use it as a Video FX plugin, after creating the VideoFX, the preview runs as expected but then I exit of Wax back to MS6 and preview the FX on the timeline and all it shows is the last frame of the FX for the whole duration of the event. For example doing Satish's example of going from a plane to a cone and tumbling off into the Z-axis. It looks great previewed in Wax as an FX plugin but closing and previewing on the timeline just shows the last frame for the duration. I have done several and all behave the same way. I have also rendered to a video file and it looks just like it did on the timelin. I know Wax was not programed for MS but wondered if anyone had gotten it to behave normally as a VideoFX plugin.

hi,

For me the problem is solved from the beinning!!!
I can't use the WAX's plugins; I'm said that WAX isn't compatible with this version of Vegas.
You need at least VEGAS 4.0
But as a standalone, I create titles in .avi and it's quite good for me.
To mention:
I tried to open this title.avi in Windows Media player and I have a similar problem; the clip is about 10s and I can read only half of it???? Anyway, I only use it in VMS platinum. Hoping that no problems will apear in the render phase....

Just a note for barzsu, simbo73 posted this reply at

'just install Wax with the "Use Dummy Host Media" option selected, then ignore the "unsupported" message'
