I just installed the WAXplugin and tried to learn some 3D free drawing. How do I open this program ? or I have to go through Vegas 5 open some thing to access to this program .

You should be able to do it outside of Vegas (It should be in your program menu) and definatley in Vegas in your plug-in section.

I found the program, now if I open WAX and write something on it how do I transfer it to vegas video track.

I'm sorry I have not used it much except for addiing effect on existing clips. To do this I added it from the effects menu.

Open it as a plugin - as Vegas Event FX.

Just installed this and it is giving me fits.....when I try and apply it to the timeline it gives me an error if I choose a preset (ie. text preset)

Anyone having this same problem?

Wax works fine as Vegas plugin on my systems.

Did you set your Vegas Ram Preview to 0 MB? - This is necessary to use the Wax plugin. Also - if you use Vegas 4 - you better have .NET-Frameworks installed (otherway you must have the Wax Dummy Host Mode activated).

I'm using Vegas 5....It actually drops onto the timeline and everything looks fine until I try to choose a preset.

Can you apply the WAX text plugins to text events you previously placed on the timeline? Maybe it's operator error! I'm due to make my first mistake and this could very well be the one :0

Not sure about this. I think this should work. But on the other hand this might not make sense. Why would you want to use a text plugin onto a text? A text plugin does generate text so you should place it onto a background like a regular video or a solid color, color gradient, texture or something else.
