Brilliant, Vic. Thanks!

I'd like to see a similar illustration on the micro level, involving atoms, electrons, quarks...

Excellent!

Isaac Asimov once wrote a 'visitor's description' of our solar system. He classified it as a smaller middle-class star, 4 planets, and assorted dust & debris. Of course, our personal planet is one of those specs of dust in that description.

very cool, kinda reminds me of this dialogue

That means that...

our whole solar system...

could be, like...

one tiny atom in the fingernail
of some other giant being.

This is too much!

That means...

-one tiny atom in my fingernail could be--
-Could be one little...

tiny universe.

???

What is this "pot" of which you speak?
winrockpost wrote on 7/2/2006, 2:41 PM
its a script from an old movie, that vics post reminded me of.
Geeze , a joke, how things have different perspectives.
the pot is maryjane, wacky tobaccy , reefer madness , smoke , that kind of stuff. An old movie , no reference to Mr. Milt , just what it made me think of.
It is not serious soul searching , its reference to a stupid movie I laugh at,,, period. I'/m sorry Mr Milt if I got you "drug' into this stupidity . Not at all my goal, just happnend to remind me of that goofy Donald Southerland scene .
Apologies,

Dave Rocchio

The theory of strings says there may be multiple universes and multi[ple dimensions stacked up on a carrier much like a multiplexed communication system due to the vibrational state of the core of matter.I don't buy the small bit not even for a New York minute.

... and to think that on that little speck, little beings are ending each others lives because they choose to believe different things.
