Create a velocity envelope, double click on the line to create a point and then right click that point to bring up the context menu.

Right Peter. "set to zero" is on my wishlist for Vegas 10 if not sooner.
I use the set to zero all the time now to do freeze frames. - Paul

Scripts can easily do a "set to zero". I often freeze frame using a script. A script can even determine if the velocity has already been added and add it for you if it's not there yet.
