Weird track naming behaviour

I have made a media pool of some 40 tracks (3 hours worth) of files. I then save off separate cdps of compilations each using some of those tracks.

They were extracted from CD, with real track titles being entered as filenames in extraction dialogue. These filenames show up in explorer and media pool. However on the tracklist and timeline, *some* events show up with names like Track 05, Track 02, etc. That relates to their position on the source CD, not the current compilation. What gives ?!!!

Yes I've noticed the same frustrating behaviour.
Can't find a fix within CDArch, but found if I simply re-write the wav files with another program (Awave Audio) retaining the 44.1k/16b attributes, then the correct names are then used by CDArch. Of course this is rather time-consuming.
