What about V4?

Since I got v4 I have waited patiently for a fix for a serious bug.
After recording, audio disappears from the arrangement and media pool. It is on the hard drive but has a different start point so is hard to import into the arrangement.
The work around is to disarm then rearm every track, every time I record.
In a fast and furious session this is just insane!
The client says, “What are you doing??”

So I pay good money for the software but its never going to work right?
I assume V4 is dead, so only resolve is to pay more and get V5?

I am not happy

What OS are you running?
Sound Card?
Computer?

V4 is the only app I use for tracking - I have never seen the behavior you are describing.

I have seen it but only on very few occasions?
It usually shows up in the media pool as a 1kb file

There are others, but its rare enough or unrepeatable at Sony to not be fixed.

Whats so unique about my environment? I don't know..

Thanks MacMoney, we've been through this though, I don't expect a solution.
I am in fact using XPPro, same behaviour regardless of soundcards and drivers.
Otherwise I have a rocksolid system

As it appears to be an anomally specific to your system only, I would hope that SoSoFo *don't* spend time chasing it, rather than concentrating on the current version.

If the problem is still relevant (slightly old thread) I do hope you mamge to fix whatever is wrong in your sytem. I can't make any useful suggestions (otehr than defrag, and is there lots of space) - sorry.

There were a few others...
But it has to be repeatable at Sony to even consider fixing

No I dont believe this issue should be looked at now.

A good resolve would be for Sony to give me v5 (assuming it solves the problem)
