What am I doin' wrong?

I have a simple DV widescreen 720x480 aspect 1.212 project in Vegas Pro 9.0e. It's for the web so I'm rendering out progressive .avi's. They render out and look great.

I also need some .mov files as well but when I render out they playback as standard definition files in the Quicktime player not as widescreen files. The pixel aspect is set 1.212 same as the .avi's and DV 720x480 but they come out squeezed when they are playing the the QT player. I have tried (Use Project Settings) and (DV 720x480) but no difference. Square pixels at least seems to give me a correct aspect (weird) but it's letterboxed and "Stretch to Fit" doesn't seem to help. I'm all mixed up as far as I can tell....help! Oh it's QT version 7.6.2. (1324)

What am I doin' wrong?

Thanks!

If you are delivering to HD or computer, work in square pixels, and STAY in square pixels. You will save yourself these menacing headaches. All those dumb PAR ratios make my head hurt. Square is where it's at.

QT does not handle pixel aspect ratio correctly. Render at 854x480 using square pixels.
