What am I missing

Robert Smith wrote on 10/13/2008, 2:43 PM
I open a project.
I choose "New and single movie" to select the video file
I add a menu and select where the buttons go
I choose the chapter marker locations
I burn a DVD

When done, the movie plays instantly instead of going to the menu. I can then hit the menu button on the remote and it WILL go there but I would like to figure out how to make a disc start with the menu.

thanks for any insight,
Robert

What you are missing is the reading/comprehension skill to be able to determine which forum you wish to post in !

I choose "New and single movie" to select the video file

When you used the "Single Movie" option, DVDA automatically flagged the video as the DVD Start. That "flag" remains in place until you change it by either a) Inserting an Introduction Media or b) selecting an item (a menu, for example) in the Project Overview window and hitting the "Set DVD Start" icon to flag that item as the DVD Start instead.

To create a project that right off the bat has a blank menu that will be the DVD Start, choose the Menu-Based option instead of Single Movie.

Any more questions, meet us over in the DVD Architect forum. :)
