A Christmas Card from a few years back. Daughter now living in Kentucky (horse country, natch), we loved Gypsy but sold her from a lack of use (I sneezed every time I got near her). Dear wife, great dog.

The dog in the photo is "Indy," named by my daughter for the fact that we got him around Independence Day.

A remarkable dog. Trish and I visited a pet store nearby purely by chance and there was a big box on the floor with 6 pups inside. I recommended a dog with tricolor markings, but Trish immediately selected Indy because, she said later, "I put my hand in and he came right over to me."

All we know is that the mom was a Border Collie. I suspect the dad was, also.

He would be a lousy poker player, as you can tell what he's thinking by his eyes, ears, and tail. First dog I've ever seen that can understand a lot of what I'm saying, and I'm not joking.

Here's a photo of Indy a few weeks after we brought him home.

This is a great thread. I had to use a picture from before V11 was released. I have no hair now.

Great thread Mr. Cline... relief from grief is a good thing! thanks

riredale -- Classy focusing on your dog Indy and not on yourself, though that's a pretty decent shot of you (and nice rig, too). Indy's a cutey patooty and Trish was right - animals have a radar about people so her instinct/intuition to respond in kind as she did has proven over and over to be the way to go in such situations.

How do you add pics?

"How do you add pics?"The short answer is: [img=http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20447760/Jazzy4.jpg]

The longer, better answer is in the sticky

The best answer is:

You can use the windows Snipping Tool instead of SnagIt & the web service of you choice instead of the free Dropbox service.

Jerry, thank you! You have a truly calming voice.

Your tutorial is very clear and straightforward. There'll be many others who'll benefit from your efforts.

What a Team!

I'm blushing!! I'm just trying to make a partial repayment to all those on this forum (including Grazie!) who have educated me much more.

"What a Team!" - truer words were never spoken!

First of all, a huge thanks to everyone on this forum. I have always found the answers to all of my questions just from searching the forums. From reading many of the threads, you all have taught me well...but I still have a long way to go. I'm still a beginner compared to most of you.

So, here I am at my day job:

I was lucky enough to receive a rather large amount of video equipment from the university a few months ago. Now, I just have to find the time to put it all to use making educational demonstration videos for my students.

Here my son and I are shooting and editing his Senior Project, He put together a how to manual for basic car maintenance and gave a copy to the local public libraries. It was a fun week last spring.

I am a little older and a little balder but a little thinner.

Disregard - never could get this image thing to work right.

Kent, if you can understand a 714 opamp, you can understand the [img=] tag on this forum. It's way simpler.

Opampman wrote on 1/14/2012, 9:13 PM
You would think so but I started with the 709, 741 and 748. The 714 must have been before my time. Anyhow, most of our high end audio gear was built using discrete transistor op amps, not IC's. It's just something about the Sony site that doesn't like my image posts.

musicvid10 wrote on 1/14/2012, 10:22 PM
Of course I meant the ubiquitous LM741.
But the img problem? Have you tried dumping and enabling cookies from Sony?
