What do you use to render to DivX or MPEG-4?

Back in the old days (Vegas version 2) used to have MPEG-4 right in the "render as.." menu. But now it is gone.

My question is: what MPG-4 encoder are people using these days? I'm looking for one that will take an NTSC DV avi (straight from the camera or flattened off the timeline) and pump out a divx flick.

Notice I am using MPEG-4 and Divx interchangeably. Let me know if this is not correct.

I went to divx.com and looked at the encoders they have but they are all geared towards ripping DVDs. Seems like the only input is .VOB. Either that or the interface is just plain horrid.

I use 3ivx for my Mpeg-4 renders. If I am editing I render directly from the timeline. If I am backing up my DVDs, I just use Virtual Dub and DVD2avi.
