what does the "next" buttonon the remote does ?

if I insert a chapter/scene marker in a video, when I press on the "next" button of my remote, as expected the video jumps to the marker.

but if I have no marker, or if the marker is too near the Out Point, when I press on the "next" button the video jumps to the next media on the DVD (whatever it is, depending on the order the .VOB on the disc)

is this the normal behaviour ? if so, is it possible to do something in order to have the "next" button do the following: jump to the next marker if any in the current video and does nothing otherwise ?

TIA, Pyer.

What you're describing sounds like things are working as they should. (This is as true for commercial DVDs as it is for the ones you author with DVD Architect.)

I don't know of any way to force your DVD player to behave the way you want it to.

The behavior of the Next button in that situation (no "next" chapter to go to) varies from one DVD player model to the next and depends more on how the manufacturer programmed it to behave. Some players will go to the next VOB on the disc, some will return to the menu that launched the current media, and some will, in fact, do nothing.

A DVD script might be able to be written to intercept and ignore the Next instruction in that instance, but 1) I'm not entirely sure since I haven't worked with scripting and 2) you need DVD Architect Pro to use scripting.
