Having been one of the several who recently purchased the PC Tools magazine with several video editors and a multitude of other video & audio utilities, I thought I would ask what other apps people find essential as companions to Movie Studio. So, what's in your toolbox?
i use muvee autoproducer for "quick-and-dirty" projects. this is automatic editing software: give it the raw footage, it analyzes it, and produces a finished video for you in a style you've chosen. it works pretty well considering.
1) Movie Studio 3.0a
2) VirtualDub
3) DVD-Lab
4) Particle Illusion 2.0 SE
5) Anim8or
6) Paint Shop Pro 5
7) Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0
8) ULead Video Factory and Movie Studio
9) Power DVD
10) DVD Patcher
11) Audacity
Nero - for burning
Goldwave - for audio editing
DVD X Maker - for authoring
Macromedia Fireworks - for graphics
DVD Shrink - for copying, er, back ups
MS Media Player - for ripping CD
Scenalyzer for video capture
Media Center for organising media and rough storyboarding
Acoustica for audio editing / noise removal
MP3 Audio Mixer for building soundscapes
PhotoBrush for "improving" stills
DVD-Lab for authoring
Nero for burning
Thanks for all the replies. I'll check out some of these tools as my needs progress. I'm still kinda new to all this even though I have had the software for a year. Hard to find the time to do what I want! Pesky kids actually expect me to play with them from time to time instead of parking my rear end in front of the computer!! :o)
