I decided to capture some video, so I fired up the capture program, like I always do - and the thing crashed my computer. I've never seen that happen (I'm running windows 2k). I shut down and restarted and the computer didn't crash - but the capture program just maxes out my processor and sits there. I won't recognize my camera.

I've never had problems with this before. It's always worked like a charm. Nothing on my box has changed. What gives?
