What happened to my DVDA markers?

This is really a DVDA question ,I've also posted there but not many people responding, hope you'all don't mind.

I started my DVDA project on a laptop..Vegas rendered music video 1 main page with 3 scene selection pages each with 7 chapter markers ( 21 in total) . My scene selection pages are still going to the right spots in preview but all the markers are now missing from the time line. I did everything on a firewire ext drive and brought it back to my home studio. I added all the markers individually on the timeline while working on the laptop.

I now need to do some corrections and the markers are missing. Any ideas? Did I leave a file behind on the laptop , maybe where the program is installed. Thanks for any replies ..I'm working with a deadline.

When you rendered your project out in Vegas, did you have the "Save project markers in media file" checked?
Another thing to try, in DVDA, is to put your file up on the timeline and select the "load markers" button (just above the timeline).
If the answer is still no, then it's easy enough (as long as your memory is good) to re-insert the markers in DVDA. HTH.

thanks mike

i didn't save makers from vegas ,I wrote them all in in dvda. Tried the load markers already as you suggest..no luck. That is why I was wondering if the file holding the markers was left behind..or even if such a marker file exists. I guess I could write them all again but then I have to reauthor all the scene select pages ..something i was hoping to avoid.

thanks for the reply

...or even if such a marker file exists.

Bryan;
In theory , it's supposed to.
The manual says "Use the Save Markers button to save all markers to your media file. If you do not save your markers, the marker information is saved only in the project (*.dar) file."
Does that help at all?

yes mike that does help
I was thinking that the markers would be held in the dar file and they seem to be as my scene select pages still work. I just wanted to be able to shift them around a bit and add a new one but without them being visible..well I was wondering where they were. They won't load from the load markers icon...I'm thinking I could rewrite them if I can read the exact time of my scene markers,but would they still be linked to my scene pages? or appear as new markers?...hoping to avoid all the rewrite, though I may have to do it all again.
thanks

Sorry Bryan but since I always create my chapter markers in Vegas, I really don't know what else to suggest. I know there's several much more knowledgeable folks here but, given that it's almost midnight (in my time zone anyway), you may have to wait until tomorrow morning for more suggestions.
