Which version of Vegas? Which operating system? Are you talking about audio or video FX?

Which plugin folder are looking in. When you go to select a plugin they are organised into folders, from memory one being "All", maybe you've selected the wrong folder in haste. This has certainly caught me out a few times.

I have Windows 7 running.. 32bit...

I am talking about Video effects.. contrast.. blur.. black and white.. etc..
this is all it gives me.. I used to have tons..

defocus, fill light, glint, starburst, soft contrast and rays.

I am using a basic.. 9.0.. with no upgrades, ect..

Yes, OK but which folder in the plugin chooser are you looking in?

I'm working from memory here but the ones you're missing I think are not in the Sony folder for example.

Recently I had a friend "give me" Sony VP9. I think it is a dud version because I don't have any transitions either. I am going to forget the thing and go back to eight until I can save for nine..

Bob, he's talking about Video FX which should all be in the Video FX tab.
In my version of Pro 9, they're all there.
My first thought is a corrupt install so I'd try it again.
