What happens if ...

I'm not sure I understand the way DVDA is set up, but let's suppose I create (3) Mpeg files in Vegas. When I render them out, I include the markers, which are normally picked up as chapters when I tell DVDA I'm doing a single movie.

But if I make three Mpegs with markers, and then select multiple files, will playing the DVD give me the option of selecting first the choice of videos, and then the chapters within the videos?

not quite sure what you're asking. Sounds to me as if you're asking if when you put the files in to DVDA they will automatically have scene selection menu's. right?

If that's what you're asking, the answer is no. When you drop/drag a video it's a link to the whole video only, if you want to add a scene selection video from one you've dropped/dragged in, right click on that video & select "insert scene selection menu".

Normally I take a video in Vegas, and place markers in the video, and render it out with the option of "include" markers.

Then I take that video in DVDA and use the Single Movie option to make the DVD.

My question is, suppose I make several movies all with markers in them. But instead of using the Single Movie option, I choose multiple files, the files I created with markers in them.

Would I end up with a DVD that asks which movie to play? And once it's playing, would I be able to choose the scenes in the movie as well as allow for an exit to the main menu?

When you choose the other option (Menu Based Project), DVDA starts the new project with a blank menu. You then drag your movies onto that menu to create buttons for those movies. There, the viewer will have the option of selecting which movie they want to play. Assuming the chapters were imported properly, the viewer will also be able to skip between chapters or use the Menu button on their remote to return to the menu.

If you want a scene selection menu (where the viewer can jump directly to a specific chapter) for any of those movies, right-click the movie's button on the main menu and choose Insert Scene Selection Menu.

And to add to what Rob said, if you have three movies, each with chapter markers, if you right click on each one and choose "add scene selection menu," you will end up with three menus. If you want these to behave as one menu, you can simply go to the project list on the left side of the screen and drag one scene selection menu so it becomes a submenu of the other scene selection menu. Adjust your navigation pointers to suit your needs, and you're done.
