I found a link to a web page with some interesting clips (see the end of this message for viewing fun.)
The first one I downloaded to my drive and then played it which ran in MS Media Player. I also dragged it into a different player that I like better. All good.
I went back to the page in IE6 and just clicked on one of the mpg links. Within IE, it downloaded and played in a small window of Quicktime. Boring. Why would IE choose Quicktime to play an mpg? Is there any way to adjust what player it will use for certain media types? Quicktime is not the default player for mpgs in the system, since, if I click on an mpg outside of IE, it plays with Media Player. Not sure how Quicktime got to be boss.
Now to the link. These are real clips of high voltage incidents.
The Link
Three of them are spectacular mpgs (content, not quality). I cranked the sound up on the 500 KV Switch one and after several plays, one of my small desktop speakers fell on the floor.
Enjoy.
