What affects the Main Concept Mpeg2 render times? Is it the sample rate (audio/video) and or the encode quality (1-31)? If both then which has a greater impact?

I am creating photo montages with VV3 and there isn't much motion involved (unless I pan/zoom). I realize fx and track motion really increases render times.
