Why are some plug-ins marked with a blue icon and some with a white icon? See attached image.
@Rich Parry From my observation, the white ones are all VST plugins. Go to Preferences -> VST Effects to find the VST paths scanned by VEGAS Pro.
At present, the vast majority of audio plugins are provided in the form of VST2 and VST3. These are generally supported by VEGAS Pro. However, VEGAS Pro still doesn't support VSTi and the ARA mode of VST3.
Thanks for the "hint". I scanned the folders you suggested. I noticed the "white" plug-ins are alll in the VST folder..

Hi @Rich Parry, the blue audio plug-ins icons are the legacy Direct X plug-ins. Pros and cons to both VST and DX. You can save, move, restore DX plug-in presets and chains with the old Sony Preset Manager 2.0. The PM chain presets can contain both DX and VSTs.. but not individual VST presets, but they can be easily copy/pasted.
