What is Media Manager?

Please excuse a simple and basic question, but what is Media Manager and where do I find it?

Is it a download from the Sony website, and how much does it cost?

Is it worth having?

Media Manager is a free add-on that is available to any seat of Vegas Pro. The software can be downloaded from the SCS website.

Media Manager is a great way to organize large libraries of clips. For example, Stock Footage, Sound FX, Music files, etc. After setting up your file structure within MM, you can further organize your clips using descriptive tags to further simplify and greatly assist with searching for just the right clip you need for your editing project.

I've located it although it's listed as v2.5 for Vegas Pro 8.

It's working fine under Vegas Pro 9d, and doing just what I need it to do.

Surely, that's version v2.4? If you have a link to a later version please let me know as I have problems with v2.4 and Windows security updates. After installing it Belarc tells me I need a patch but there doesn't seem to be a good way of finding which one it should be.

No worries, I thought it was too good to be true. Sony have done very little with Media Manager which is a shame. I guess it's no surprise that it is so old it introduces security vulnerabilities.
