what is wrong with my cursor? please help. weird stuff

i got a problem. when i get my cursor in place placing the line in the beginning of the video, i can't see it on the video preview window. and i can't drag and stretch the vid from the left side. weird but true. i don't know if i turned something off or not. i can still pan and crop it but i have to let it play for half a second at least to see something on the vid preview window.

please help. what's weird is that i can do it with pics only

never mind that. i can't also do it with pics. it just shows me blackness instead of the file i drop on the preview window. did i turned off snapping or something? please help

Check Options / Preferences / General - (6 from bottom) Show event edge frames ...

ok the button is already clicked on and i still can't see the beginning of the video or pic when i put my cursor on the beginning of the thing. i'm getting really frustrated from this. what is wrong? please help!

What is the format of this video you have on the timeline? Is it MPEG? Not sure what the solution may be if that is it... but I just want to get the right information to start off with.

Have yu tried loading this clip into another new project? How does it work then? Any differrent?

Just trying to get you to work around the problem - so you we end up with a little wider view of the circumstances.
