What kind of DVD should I use

When I burned a DVD, the DVD is working on the computer, but when I place it in a DVD player, it doesnt work there. I seem to remember having this problem a couple years ago. And the situation was alleviated somewhat when I used a specific DVD-type ... either +R or -R or something ... anyone know??

Probably the type you didn't use when you had the problem. Some DVD players work better with -Rs and others with +Rs. Overall DVD-Rs seem to be slightly more compatible. You could also consider using a different brand of disc and/or burning at a lower speed.
