What NVidea card?

I'm using a Radeon RX480 (8 gb) card in Windows 10 and while editing is fairly stable both Vegas 13 and 15 hard crash when I click "render as" 95% of the time. I also get regular screen flashing to black during certain edit tasks when using the secondary preview monitor mode so I need to solve this problem. Vegas is the only program on my system that has issues.

I'm ready to throw some money at this problem and switch back to NVidea cards to see if this solves the issue. I'd like to stay in the $350 range or lower. Any recommendations? I also use Resolve, Adobe CS6, TMPEG etc.

Thank you, Marc

I have RX470 and VP15 quite stable during editing/render by FullHD footage (so4* disabled, GPU acceleration ON in preferences, GPU not used by encoder, quite recent graphics card drivers).

I'd try to solve the issue first because it might be that something else causing it and after spending some money wou would still have the issue.
