What software or plugin is used to create this eff

I am building a slideshow for a twins 16th birthday. I was searching for ideas and templates and found this interesting style in the TV. I am wondering is anyone know how this being created? which software or plugin used to produce this effect?

it's a composite set of effects: PIP, color masking, compositing

part of it was page peal, but not completed. The angle kept changing. Part was different layers of images/video with cookie cutter FX applied to it.

EDIT: use the transition progress envelope to achieve the edge-peeling FX. Looks pretty neat. :D i set my envelope to 66% & all across the transition & it looked great.
