Having UTVideo coded installer aside would save you a lot of drive space and time (on copying process). UTVideo/MagicYUV formats are supported by free multi platform ffmpeg without 3rd party decoders so it is pretty safe to use for archiving (you will be able to convert it to uncompressed or another lossless format even if the codecs development ceased).

Sure, it is up to you to decide. I'm just guessing here as I'm not archiving sources when they processed.
