Wolfgang, I'm with you. V6 has such a lot of new ideas for making my work "easier" that I can be relaxed about all this.

The reason I post "issues" here is that I, first off, would like others to check and repro-ing what I'm doing - I don't live next door OR within sensible telephone connection to Madison - and secondly to confirm to other editing colleagues here that IF they are knocking their heads against a brick wall on something that in actual fact they aren't alone.

So, in summary:

1/- I post to confirm a repro.

2/- I post to give support to others hereabouts

. .simple eh?

Just this morning I stumbled on the NO preview from Explorer IF the Media Manager is not TABBED docked with Explorer. I'd say that this is fundamental and at the same time I guess this will also be fixed.

And, Wolfgang, I'm reeeeeallly looking forward to V6b.

Grazie

Yes, I am a fan of such an approach. Because it is impotant to understand, if an issue is just a local issue of my PC (and my bloody abilities); or if it a general issue of the software.

So, to ask other user if they can confirm the behavior on their machines, is always a good idea.

And yes, off course I am also waiting for V6b. Hey, who is not waiting for that?? But: more then a quick fix I prefer a perfect fix of the bugs.

. .you think "perfect fix"? . .Hmmm... don't know about that Wolfgang? You are prepared for a perfect fix? How long do you think you could wait? how long would you be prepared to wait?

.. . tricky!

I does not have to be perfect. Nothing is. I would settle for a properly working version with the occasional, minor glitch.

And, yes, I would expect that version to arrive within a few weeks rather than months.

Yes, to be total perfect is tricky. But it should not happen, that we find other - new - bugs in the bugfix. It should not happen, that we have to wait 4 or 5 month.

But given the track record of Sony to fix bugs, I think we will have a good solution within the next couple of weeks.

One would also suspect that, with Sound Forge 8a having hit the net yesterday afternoon, the b version of Vegas 6 is probably not far behind.

My opinion is rendering, PTT operations are now running the processor at 100%. Any flaw in the machine is going to jump out at you.

Happy NOW?

I doubt it.

Vegas 6 rules! I have been using Nested VEG files since day one and they are working better in 6b. Just what I was waiting for. Having been a mainframe programmer for 15 years I appreciate the work it takes to get a working product delivered on time. I also know that no matter how much you test there is always something out there waiting to "byte" you.
