When Blu Ray Arrives

I just took a trip to Italy with an HC1 and am going to be distributing my video on DVD to friends and family. But I also want to render out my project in Vegas for high definition output when it arrives. I find that I do not know what format to render it to for Blue Ray or HDVD. I am assuming that it will still be MPEG-2, but I don't know if I should render using the HD 1080i 1440x1080 or HDV 1080i 1920x1080 templates.

Any information about high def. rendering formats for Blu Ray and HDVD would be appreciated. Thanks.

To keep your options open, Print to tape as HDV, then you have an HD "master" which you can recapture and render to whichever format you need.

Or you could just leave it as a file on a HDD, The CF Di would be a good compromise, the Sony YUV codec would also be good but at HD res I think you'd be using up a lot of disk.
