When I edit video, the audio track stays silent

Hello!

I use Vegas Pro 18. I have edited two days ago and everything was okay. Twenty minutes ago I have opened Vegas because I wanted to continue my editing. But the audio track stays silent there.

I mean, the audio works on my PC. And Vegas too seems to "feel" that there are some variations of noise when it analyses the audio track in the Master Bus. I have never considered that "Master Bus" before.
But even so, I can't hear anything. The audio track has not been muted, it should have to work.

I have already Googled this issue, finding nothing that can help me.

My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super with Max-Q Design.

I work on Windows 11.

I am a little bit desperate because I have always solved the problems with some Google research and experiments, but now I am blocked, I don't know what I can do.

I would check the Audio Device preferences. I saw your post on Reddit as well with the screenshot. Based on that, the audio is being decoded and output, but VEGAS is obviously trying to output it to a different device than your PC speakers. If the VEGAS preferences are not the issue, then look in your Windows App volume and device preferences.

Thank you so much for your suggestion, it's brilliant. When I will be on my PC i will check these preferences. Thank you again!

I have solved thanks to you!
It was not the vegas preferences issue, but in windows app volume and device preferences the volume for VEGAS has been muted (i don't know why neither when neither how, considerating that I am the one and only who uses this pc). But now everything is normal again.

Thank you so much, you have been precious!
