To be more especific... I press "Render as..." and the "Render as..." window opens, I choose the options I want and then when I press ok VEGAS freezes. It doesn't even show the progress bar of the render.

Trial version is working fine rendering in Magix MP4, so I guess it is related to your system/setup in Vegas. More info needed.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

Rendered several videos already with no issues.

Details on the video and hardware would help. Also a screenshot of your timeline.

Read THIS on how to reset Vegas.

That's good to know. Does a crash reporter box appear? It may have a hint as what's going on. (see what the fault process application is)

If it error reporter doesn't appear, if you hold down shift and go to options there's an internal tab. There type in hang it will show enable hang detection and change false to true. Then you should at least get a crash reporter.

The suggestion with Reyfox to attempt a reset is a good one - sometimes a cache clear can do wonders.
