I'm still waiting on mine, and from what I understand I'm not alone. I talked to the Sony rep for the local place I'm buying from yesterday and was told that so far only demo units have gone out, the units that their certified Sony dealers could use to show off the camera. She said that some dealers may have sold their demo units but apparently this is a big No No. As of yesterday there was still no date on when the actual production models would ship. I asked about the vignette problem and she said that that was part of the delay. Officially, according to her, there has only been one camera in the UK that had this problem confirmed, as in it was sent back and Sony saw the problem themselves. Now every camera is going through QC and being checked. I've read elsewhere that people have had problems registering their camera and getting the extra free 8 gig card and when I mentioned this to the Sony rep they told me that that's because the offer had not gone live yet and won't until the actual production models are officially released.
I think mine is either $6,699.00 or $6,599.00, don't have the receipt here but there's not a lot of price fluctuation, the certified dealers don't have much wiggle room.
Mine came from Marcay Specialist Services in Sydney.
I'd ordered 5 but so far they could only get 4, should be another shipment later this week. Here is Australia we get the extra card with the camera although ours are delayed as Sony AU didn't get any extra cards as yet.
For what it's worth, mine is SN 51 so there aren't a whole lot of them around as yet. My dealer holds no inventory or demo models so the story about dealers selling off their demo units in this case is pure bunk. Note that no one deals directly with Sony, Sony AU or USA etc is NOT Sony Japan.
