Where can I set folder paths?

Is there anyway to set the multitude of folder paths other that going into the internal prefs?
I really do not want my saved files dumped willy-nilly by default into the "documents" folder or into "C:\users, etc"
I know I can change that at save time - but Vegas forgets where I put it the next time the project is opened.

Cheers,
Hald

Hald & Grazie, recognizing that this is a real PITA, I've got master folders called Captured Files on my D drive and Edited Projects on my E drive and absolutely everything related to a project goes into these folders.
Of course, inside of these folders are the folders related to each project.
It's one way that I try to keep my sanity :-)

I have things organised much the same except the top of the project tree is the client name, then the various projects names for that client and then the various folders for that project. Makes handling lots of clients and clients with several projects much easier.

I also have another folder on a server called "Client FIles" for stuff like logos that'll be needed for years, even if the client losses contact for a while.

This helps keep me sane but have to agree with Hald and Grazie, Vegas does nothing to help at all and it's default of sticking things into the \documents folder is a real trap for new users. I'll admit I fell into it not long after I got started and didn't quite tweak to why I was getting Out Of Disk Space errors for a while. I admit it's also a pain how other apps force you to setup all the default folders up front but it saves grief later on by making you think about the issue.
